The photo was taken in Coney Island, New York. This street runs perpendicular to the boardwalk. The street with all its' orange and yellow signs tell something about the seediness of this area, which has fallen on hard times. With all the color there is a sombre feel. It is this contradiction and the signs messages, which lend interest to it. I love the Thirsty sign. This area is dried up. Two men walk towards each other in this mostly desolate street.
