Coney Island amusement park, built in the late 19th century, is located in Brooklyn, New York. It is a landmark whose days are numbered. Only recently the Cyclone and some other rides received a reprieve. It is sad to raze a place with so much history. It has given many people fun filled memories and still children of all ages derive pleasure from the rides. I went on the infamous Cyclone many years ago when I turned 30 to prove to myself I could do it. After all those years, I still proudly remember overcoming my fears of it. Hopefully, they won't tear this place down "to build up a parking lot", or an apartment building.
